Letter to the Church in Pergamum

Jesus dictated letters to seven churches in the book of Revelation. The second letter was written to the Church in Smyrna and recorded in Revelation 2.12-17.

12 To the angel of the church in Pergamum write:
These are the words of the One who holds the sharp, double-edged sword.
13 I know where you live, where the throne of Satan sits. Yet you have held fast to My name and have not denied your faith in Me, even in the day when My faithful witness Antipas was killed among you, where Satan dwells.
14 But I have a few things against you, because some of you hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to place a stumbling block before the Israelites so they would eat food sacrificed to idols and commit sexual immorality. 15 In the same way, some of you also hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. 16 Therefore repent! Otherwise I will come to you shortly and wage war against them with the sword of My mouth.
17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone inscribed with a new name, known only to the one who receives it.

2 I know your deeds, your labor, and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate those who are evil, and you have tested and exposed as liars those who falsely claim to be apostles. 3 Without growing weary, you have persevered and endured many things for the sake of My name.
4 But I have this against you: You have abandoned your first love. 5 Therefore, keep in mind how far you have fallen. Repent and perform the deeds you did at first. But if you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.
6 But you have this to your credit: You hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

Sharing the Good News (Gospel) about Jesus

Sadly, most American Christians believe that the responsibility for sharing the gospel and making disciples is for the “professionals”. However, the Bible is clear, we are all commanded to make disciples! [Matthew 28.18-20]

One of the most important steps in making disciples is sharing the good news (gospel) about what Jesus did for us.

Based on limited anecdotal data, it seems that most Christians don’t have a Biblical, simple and reproducible gospel sharing tool. If that is the case for you, check out our website (https://sites.google.com/tenminas.net/home/Res/Gospel). There you will find videos, a script and a drawing for the Three Circles method.


If you want to learn more, contact us (https://sites.google.com/tenminas.net/home/Contact) and we will train you. Don’t let the distance concern you. Today’s technology enables us to train and coach people across the world.

Our Mentors

For a long time, my wife and I worked hard to make disciples, but really struggled with sharing the gospel. So, I spent a lot of time praying and asking God to give us a mentor. In May 2014, we connected with Chuck and Deb Wood.

In the answer to my prayers, they decided to invest heavily in us and we soon became good friends.

Together,

• we went on three cruises totaling 33 days
• we led trainings in:

• Auckland, New Zealand
• Cuenca, Ecuador

• Corpus Christi, TX

• New Braunfels, TX
• Seguin, TX
• many locations across the San Antonio, TX 
• we even trained crewmembers on the Carnival Legend Cruise Ship!

We praise God for bringing Chuck and Deb into our lives!!

If our friendship / partnership wasn’t enough, what actually prompted this post is a story that Chuck shared several weeks ago. He said that about a dozen years ago, he and three other guys drove to each Army base in CONUS and prayed over the base. Today, there are healthy church planting movements on most of those bases!

For about 10 years, God has been prompting me to “Wake up the American Church and raise up an army to advance God’s Kingdom against Satan’s strongholds.” Chuck’s story about praying over the Army bases motivated me to get started with this blog.

Training - First Baptist Church and Iglesia la Luz del Barrio - June 30, 2018

What an amazing time with First Baptist Church, San Antonio and Iglesia la Luz del Barrio on Saturday, 6/30!

We had two 4-1-1 simultaneous trainings; 38 attended the English speaking and 15 attended the Spanish speaking.

Trainers came from the 2-2-2 Church and Life Church as well as First Baptist Church and Iglesia Luz del Barrio.

The outreach after lunch was focused around where Iglesia Luz del Barrio meets. The teams found:

• People of peace - 6
• People desiring followup - 19

August 1-4, we will repeat the training and do several days of outreach with the goal of starting several new churches in the neighborhood.
