The “Come and See” church model is why the church is in decline. It no longer works in our post Christian environment. Pastors who will embrace a “Go and Be” approach as Jesus envisioned it, will watch their people come alive and thrive as they embrace their identity to be reproducing disciple makers. Those churches will grow and their local and global impact will increase exponentially although some people will initially choose to leave. That’s why most will not embrace a new mindset. It’s a money thing.
We either got to change our definition of what success looks like or we will continue to see churches withering on the vine over the next two decades until we continue to look more and more like Britain does today.
